Demand for energy is rising all over the world, while
fossil fuel resources are dwindling and the climate is being adversely
affected. Science and technology provide the answer that will be needed to
tackle these issues. Today’s students will need a firm grounding in the
scientific and engineering principles that
underpin these technologies, if they are to be a part of a sustainable
energy future.
Your students will be amazed
by the advanced simulators included with
these comprehensive ECOSTEM programs.
It also explores the potential for reducing
energy consumption and evaluates alternative forms of energy production on
micro generation scale.
This
Green Construction module investigates the need to design and construct
buildings using environmentally efficient methods and resources. It also
explores the potential for reducing energy consumption and evaluates
alternative forms of energy production on micro generation scale.

The Heathkit Renewable Energy Trainer
Introduces students to the principles of thermoelectricity, solar cells
with dual axis tracking, and fuel cell technology.
Indian Hills Community College in
Ottumwa, IA has just received one of these Heathkit Renewable Energy
Trainers!
provides students with
the basic principles of the circuitry behind the biomedical equipment.
Through a series of hands-on exercises and measurements students develop an
understanding of human physiology and the biomedical instrumentation that
records the measurements.
The
Heathkit Wind and Solar Renewable Energy course introduces students to the
principles and applications of wind and solar power through a series of
hands-on experiments.
Course includes (20)
half-hour lecture presentations and (20) one-hour practical labs.

◄This Heathkit EWS-545
Practical Network Cabling System teaches
copper connectivity, fiber connectivity, and wireless technology, then
integrates them into a single practical system. Combining these into
one system makes the training system unique and the most effective trainer
for telecommunications and LAN or WAN networks. Connect multiple units
together with out ladder kits and allow your students to send data between
trainers. From Entrance Facility to Equipment Room to Wiring Closet to
Work Area students plan, pull, punch-down, probe, and improvise network
wiring in a clean, safe, and controlled environment. At the end of
class, simply store the tools and components inside the cabinet, secure the
closing doors with locks and roll the trainer away. The practical
Network Cabling System will provide 90 hour of instruction, transforming
network - wiring skills into employer - hiring skills.
SCORM (Sharable Content
Object Reference Model)
We have a range
of interactive learning resources for your VLE (Virtual Learning
Environment) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Frog, Fronter, etc. The lessons make use of virtual experiments and
simulations as well as providing real hands-on experiments using our
optional hardware and experiment kits. The package can be installed on
any compatible VLE, such as Moodle, Blackboard, CyberExtension, or Fronter.
This allows an institute to provide access to LJ Create's high-quality materials alongside any
other content also hosted on the system. Local authorities can use the
materials to create a shared VLE resource for consortium members across
a number of institutions. Alternatively, individual schools can use the
package to populate their own VLE.This map shows near real–time
shaking intensity from New Zealand's network of seismographs
allows for experimentation with a large variety of variables like
pressure, temperature, time to temperature, time, proportions, feedstock types,
etc.
Batches as small as 25 Liters can be made.

sector.
We use many different energy sources to
live and work, and those energy sources are classified into two groups -
sustainable and nonsustainable. In the U.S., most of our energy comes from
nonsustainable energy sources. Coal, petroleum, natural gas, propane, and
uranium are nonsustainable energy sources. They are used to make
electricity, to heat our homes, to move our cars, and to manufacture all
kinds of products. They are called nonsustainable because their supplies
are limited.
Sustainable energy sources include biomass, geothermal energy, hydropower,
solar energy, and wind energy. They are classified as sustainable because
they can be replenished in a short time. Day after day, the sun shines,
the wind blows, and the rivers flow. We use sustainable energy sources
mainly to make electricity.
